Ardganavan | 40 occupants (1841 - 2010)

This house belongs to Craig and Celine McIntyre. Ardgavanan sits on the road side and is a rectangular 1 and a half storey, three bay cottage. New velux roof windows have been installed and there are Spanish or Chinese slates on the rear pitch roof. Originally the cottage probably consisted of two rooms on the ground floor, room and kitchen, parlour and kitchen, etc. The cottage is entered through two leaf doors from the front on the road side. From here one enters a small hallway with one door to the left and another to the right, the stair rising up. There are two attic rooms which are lit by skylights. Craig and Seline are doing considerable renovations and have removed all the finishes from the interior, except for the original stair and are refinishing the house with the stone walls exposed, joists and boards over, sanded and sealed floors, and so on, to make a very contemporary traditional interior.
