Laglingarten Farm
Like Lagligarten Cottage the farmhouse is a three bay structure; one and a half stories high with modern roof, chimney stacks and porch. An additional bay has been added to the north of the farmhouse. The windows in this house are smaller than those of the cottage: this suggests this building might be a generation older than the cottage. There is a small window (?) under the stairs and a stone built lean-to at the rear. There is a complete farm square behind, made up of buildings of different periods. The most recent is a Dutch barn made by Mr. Hatten using material left after the war. It is possible that there are plans by Robert Lorimer for the steading: this maybe the best basis for analysis, otherwise certainly needs TA. The farmhouse shares a number of similar characteristics to the cottage; these include the eaves and verge. The farmhouse affords fantastic views to the east to the head of Loch Fyne.
